About
Lives around the globe are caught up in a swirl of innovation as technical, medical and social wonders filter into our lives. While most of this change is for the better, they can carry unforeseen consequences. Futurists of all types and backgrounds help identify possibilities, attempting to identify the benefits and limitations of each.
Regarding Tomorrow is a social platform designed to help us explore what the future holds and to prepare ourselves for the changes that will occur within our lifetimes. To bring people and ideas together, we offer:

Frequently Asked Questions
This is interesting, but I'm not a futurist.
You aren't a futurist? Are you sure?
Do you invest? When you bought your most recent car, were you shopping for efficiency due to rising fuel prices? When you read an article about a new idea, do you wonder how it will impact your life down the road? Have you opted to take courses to keep you fresh in a changing field?
If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, you're a futurist. The truth is, every human is a futurist. We constantly worry about future events and it's a natural state of our humanity to do so. If we didn't do this as individuals, as societies and as a species, we wouldn't be on this fast track of technological wonders.
Okay, I can buy that. But I'm not a writer or illustrator, so what can I provide?
You don't have to be a writer or illustrator. You can provide constructive criticism to work members share or join in discussions to help flesh out new ideas. And great ideas aren't limited to writers or illustrators. People of all walks of life and talent levels have great ideas. Just share them in a medium where you're comfortable.
Regarding Tomorrow invites everyone, regardless of skill level, to share their ideas in the way that works best for them. All we ask is that you try to share it in a story or image form. Yes, you should edit your first version to improve your work and get a few friends to give you some feedback - exactly the same process every professional author follows for every work they publish. But you don't have to be an expert to have an opinion or a writer or illustrator to present it. Do your best. The idea is more important than a perfect version of the idea.
I'd like to help, I do have some ideas here and there. How much time does it take?
That's up to you and your inspiration. Some ideas take time to come together. Others demand to be put down and shared immediately. How much time you put into it is up to you and how finely tuned you want the final product to be.
Sounds good, but what else do I get out of this?
Futurists are better prepared for the future than those who just let it happen. Being aware of new discoveries and events helps you be more worldly and future aware. Plus, you'll be able to tell friends about the crazy stuff they might not believe.
Also, writing or illustrating will help develop your communication skills. Employers are increasingly looking for hires who can communicate effectively and efficiently. Taking part will help you gain clarity and explore storytelling and imagery as a way to build your skills.
Building on that, experience working in groups is another valuable skill. Regarding Tomorrow is social, giving all of us the chance to work together to come up with new ideas, build on them, troubleshoot them and discuss the outcomes.
Do you really think this will matter?
There are a lot of smart people supporting exploration of the future. Neal Stephenson has requested new ideas and "big visions" from the science fiction community. MIT professor Alex Pentland wrote an amazing book on the power of humans working to solve problems and overcome limitations.
And every opinion matters, yours as much as the next person. After all, we're all sharing the same future. We should all have a say in it.
Is this it or will there be more in the future?
Much more as our membership grows. Write up: Kickstarter, newsletters, published works, investment, lesson plans to work with high schools and university programs.
